Meet Reanna Browne

An award-winning futurist who’s not afraid of the now.

Pragmatic and provocative, Reanna is a practising futurist who helps leaders stop circling what-ifs and start acting on what’s already emerging.

Known for her ‘aha’ moments, brain-breaking insights and the kind of clarity that helps even the tensest shoulders drop, Reanna is a sought-after voice on national radio, in publications, on global stages and inside organisations navigating real change.

But it’s not just what she says, it’s how she sees.

While others focus on predicting far-off futures, Reanna helps leaders detect the subtle shifts already unfolding, and unlearn the assumptions that stand in their way.

With a Master’s in Strategic Foresight and over a decade of experience in business and workforce strategy and organisational design and development across private, startup and public sectors — plus a past life as an elite athlete and high-performance coach — Reanna brings a rare blend of grounded foresight, real-time clarity, and a deep understanding of how change actually happens: in motion, not in theory.

Her approach is grounded in a core belief: the future isn’t to be predicted, it’s something that emerges from how we work with the present.

My Why

- Because everyone is overwhelmed, exhausted, and under-resourced right now. I want to give people more than vague inspiration or fear about what’s changing. I want them to walk away with agency, direction, and real pathways they can act on come Monday.

- Because I need this work as much as anyone. My grounded, practical approach to futures grew out of my own search for ways to make sense of change and act in these increasingly weird times.

- Because foresight shouldn’t sit on the shelf as a glossy report or an inspiring talk. It should be something people can actually use to widen choices and guide decisions in the present.

- Because the future doesn’t exist, there are no future facts because it hasn't happened yet. What exists are the decisions and actions we take in the present. My work is about making those decisions more deliberate, more hopeful, and less left to default.

- Because the futures we inhabit are shaped by what we do — and don’t do — today. Making sense of change and acting our way through uncertainty come Monday is how we create futures we actually want to inhabit.

- Because too many “pop futurists" reduce the future to shiny tech. I want to expand our range of thinkable futures — to challenge dominant images and open space for more deliberate, hopeful futures to take root in the present.

My Accomplishments

Delivered keynotes and workshops in Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, and across Europe, working with leaders across sectors.

Professional awards in both Futures/Foresight and HR from leading professional associations.

Fun facts

Before becoming a futurist, I played at a high level in sport — as a professional cricketer and coach.

I also represented Australia in Gaelic football.

I hold a Master of Strategic Foresight from Swinburne University, plus other postgraduate qualifications (University of Sunshine Coast, Finland Futures Academy).

In my younger years, I was the lead guitarist in a band. At my wedding last year, I dusted off the Fender Strat and played a surprise set.

How I can help

Turning foresight into action (come Monday). Not vague inspiration or fear about “the future” — but clear choices, safe-to-try steps, and scaffolding that make change practical and doable in the present.

Navigating the messy middle. When you’re caught between keeping the lights on and adapting to change, I help reframe dilemmas and unlock new ways forward — without the illusion of a crystal ball.

Spotting ‘pockets of the future’ in the present. I bring concrete, challenging examples of change that spark imagination, widen choices, and help design the new inside the old.

Building adaptive strategies in uncertain times. I help leaders move away from predict-and-control planning towards resilient decisions and strategies that align with who they are, where they’re heading, and the world they’re in.
