My Why
I have a deep belief that the voice is not something people are simply “born with” or stuck with for life. It’s a skill, a function, and a lived experience—and lasting change only happens when it’s trained properly and in depth.
I’m not your average voice teacher who teaches tricks, warm-ups, or surface-level skills. I go deeper—into voice function, nervous system response, identity, and lived experience. Over decades of working with voices, I’ve seen that generic advice simply isn’t enough. Every voice is different. Every person brings their own history, habits, beliefs, and nervous system patterns into how they communicate. Real change requires understanding *that* voice, not applying a one-size-fits-all solution.
I’m passionate about helping people because I’ve seen what happens when someone finally understands and trusts their voice. I’ve watched people move from frustration, injury, or self-doubt into clarity, confidence, and genuine self-belief. The transformation is often bigger than sound—it’s about reclaiming identity, authority, and the right to be heard.
What truly drives me is the moment someone realises, “Oh… this is *my* voice.” That moment never gets old. I get an enormous kick out of seeing people find their voice—not just technically, but emotionally and psychologically—and use it with ease, joy, and authenticity.
Through my speaking, I hope to change how people think about their voice: to move away from quick fixes and myths, and toward informed, personalised, functional training that empowers them for the long term. If people leave my sessions feeling more at home in their voice—and more confident showing up as themselves—I’ve done my job.
