Meet Maria Doyle

Maria Doyle has a unique ability to read the room, weaving stories from her travels into the narrative while educating, inspiring and entertaining. During the 30 years she’s been working internationally, she’s visited 47 countries, learnt six languages – and survived multiple organ failure, evacuation due to civil unrest, being detained as an illegal alien, blackmail and deportation on arrival (without any illegal or irresponsible behaviour to blame!). She’s been fired for not being ‘attractive enough to lure male customers’ into a shop, lived in Asia for substantial periods being a large, white, single female, slept rough, eaten with presidents and built houses with villagers who had lost everything to fire. Her stories really are next level. Maria has been told that you could hear a pin drop when she’s delivering to a crowd, and routinely gets five-star reviews from her audiences. She embodies the ultimate speaker’s trifecta of inviting her audience to ‘laugh, cry and think’, while also guaranteeing a down-to-earth approach that tailors the experience to whatever will serve your audience the best.

My Why

A SPECIALIST IN EDUCATION AND TRAINING WITH OVER 30 YEARS OF INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE. Maria’s ability to ‘see’ your project with a fresh lens is extraordinary. She has collected evidence from classrooms across the world – from Europe and the Middle East, to Asia, the Pacific, North America, Scandinavia and, of course, her home country, Australia. Maria has also seen education from many different perspectives – not only as a teacher, teacher trainer, curriculum developer, instructional designer, examiner and education project manager, but also as a learner of six languages, cooking and golf skills, and three degree programs in languages, education and international relations. Her experience also comes from working in international primary, secondary, vocational and tertiary learning environments, for small and large businesses, government and not for profits, and in humanitarian, and aid and development contexts. Her perspective is simply incomparable to other consultants in this space. Maria has a unique way of working with diverse teams, and is renowned for her energy, enthusiasm and passion for turning lacklustre learning experiences into extraordinary opportunities for growth. Whatever your teaching and learning project, you can be guaranteed that working with Maria will give you incredible insights and extraordinary end products.
